- Accepts 2 yr olds - a lot of the schools around where I live are for the ages 3 and up.
- Good curriculum - I know kids get bored real easily which was one of the reasons why I was taking my daughter out Caregiver/babysitter environment. At first it was working out for me considering the cost was reasonable, she was a certified caregiver and my child loved her care giver because of the one on one attention. But I did notice that as Maliyah got older, she started acting differently. At one point she was the oldest child there and she soon started acting like a baby….wanting to be held , wasn’t interested in going to the potty anymore, not wanting to drink out of a cup. Maliyah had figured if she acted in this behavior she would get the attention that the babies were getting…which was not cool with me.
- Diverse background - Her caregiver was Hispanic spoke Spanish and VERY little English. That was the pro of having her as Malaya caregiver. That’s why I wanted to make sure that she would go to a diverse school. I still want to continue teaching her Spanish, but there aren’t at lot of schools in this area that teach Spanish to her age group.
- Close to my home & work – self explanatory.
- Room for growth – self explanatory.
- Good Environment – I visited this one school that I swear the kids were jumping off the walls. Here I was waiting for my tour to start and there these group of kids doing flips off the walls I which I could show you but yes they were doing Flips off the wall. And the poor after school teacher, felt so bad for her. But on top of that the way they talk to adults……I know you that some might think that I shouldn’t have made my decision based on that but there was soo much other problem with school too like that school had kids from 6wks to kindergarten and the building just seemed too small.
